The Forest of Muse is a museum park hosting three unique facilities. Karuizawa Picturebook Museum, Picturesque Garden, and the Karuizawa Erz Toy Museum.

With a history of over 300 years and made by the hands of true artisans, toy making is a form of traditional craftsmanship. At the Erz Toy Museum, a number of high quality wooden and educational toys are on display.

The Picturesque Garden is a natural garden designed by Paul Smither. While staying true to Karuizawa and using plants native to the grounds, the garden combines elements of both new and old. Our garden that changes with the season is the perfect place for your wedding.
